Celtic Cross - also known as High Cross, Ionic Cross, Scottish Cross, Irish Cross, Welsh Cross, Anglican Cross, St. John's Cross, Halo Cross, Gaelic, and Sun Cross. Consists of Latin cross with a ring encircling the cross bar and shaft. The cross arms sometimes extend beyond the circle. The Disc Cross version has arms that end at the circle. The Celtic Cross is regarded as Celtic Christianity's characteristic symbol, although it has pre-Christian origins.
